Important
- Read about a different combination
for
your needs
| As you can see, you can have so many combinations for your home or office systems. I suggest you keep your windows system on one physical hard drive - drive 0 master, and all your data on the second physical drive 1 - secondary master. If you setup this way you can have many hard drives with different system or you can have exact duplication of your boot up system. You can protect yourself from hours of loading again windows and programs to the same computer. |
| VERY IMPORTANT: YOU GET A PEACE OF MIND |
| If you have a lot of data you do not need zip drive ( very slow ) You make a duplication of your second drive with data only. You can carry the same drive from home to the office. Or, for 100% protection, you keep it on your shelf.. |
| If you use the Internet a lot, you can
have two different hard drives for windows and/or two hard drives with you
data. You can setup one hard drive for the Internet only and partition
for data. At the time you are connected to the Internet you simply disconnect your big hard drive with data. If computers are setup for auto setup for hard drives you can switch them without any mother board setup. |
| You can have setup for two hard drives for your kids with one computer. |
| I suggest you setup My Documents for this separate hard drive. |
| Do not switch windows system between different computers systems ( windows will be trying to make a new setup). You can do it with your data disk. |
| I learned how to make a copy of Win 2000. I use now in my computer Win 2000 because it is more stable. |
